Recently the IDF assassinated an important Iranian general. At the inauguration of the new leader, the IDF through their intelligence networks, infiltrated, and assassinated the new, would-be leader.
Hezbollah and their supporters then created a great uproar among the people of Iran. They warned that there would be a great retaliation against Israel. They promised revenge.
As a result, the world and the Israeli government were on edge, warning the people of Israel that there might be an imminent strike against the country (1).
Can you imagine the Israeli people, living, knowing that there might be an imminent strike upon them, anywhere?
Well, thanks be to God of Israel, who gave the IDF great wisdom and intelligence; and provided them with superior military equipment. The IDF knew exactly where imminent evil was being planned.
It is a good exercise in faith, to mentally place ourselves in their position.
“When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. ‘Oh no, my Lord! What shall we do?’ the servant asked. ‘Don’t be afraid,’ the prophet answered. ‘Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.’ And Elisha prayed, ‘Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.’ Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.”

This story illustrates what it is to live in fear of impending doom. But then to have the Lord show you that his forces are greater than the armies of this Earth who are arrayed against you. The point is that ‘those you are with you’—the Lord and his angels—are more than those who are against you.
Israel has more divine allies than the forces of Iran that are arrayed against them. Pray that the Israeli’s eyes will be open, and comforted, just as the servant’s perspective was transformed.
Let us pray for the IDF and the president of Israel daily. I am sure that Benjamin Netanyahu and his team, surely seek the Lord.
